Welcome to the Intercropping Stakeholder Survey
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey.
In today's fast-changing agricultural landscape, exploring new farming practices can open up opportunities for better yields and more sustainable operations. One such practice is intercropping – growing two or more crops together in the same field. Intercropping can improve soil health, reduce pest and disease pressure, increase biodiversity, and contribute to a more resilient and productive farm.
To support decision-making in this complex area, we are developing a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) as part of the LEGUMINOSE project. This digital tool will allow users to assess how well different fields across Europe support various intercropping combinations and simulate key outcomes such as yield, nitrogen use, soil health, and water uptake.
This survey aims to gather insights from farmers, advisors, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the DSS is practical, user-friendly, and tailored to real-world needs. Your responses will help shape the tool’s design, features, and usability.
The survey takes about 10–15 minutes. Your input is essential – thank you for supporting the development of tools that foster sustainable and data-informed agriculture.
Please note:
- Throughout this survey, we use the terms “DSS” and “web app” interchangeably — both refer to the same tool: a digital platform accessible via browser, developed specifically for intercropping decision support.
- All answers will be treated confidentially and used only for research and development purposes ONLY.
There are 34 questions in this survey.
